About Us
The location of our resort has its roots in the trapping and lumber industries in the area. The Lydick family built the original building on the grounds of where the Pike Hole Bar restaurant is presently located. They begin to add fishing cabins including overnighter one room units and a converted garage (that was towed across the ice from Cass Lake!) to name a few. Lyle and Irene Church (Irene was a Lydick) then ran the resort and bar until we moved from Minneapolis in 1972. We are currently the longest family owned resort on the Cass Lake chain of lakes.
We are located 2-1/2 miles from the smallest parish Catholic Church in the Diocese of Crookston. St. Charles on the Scenic Highway in Pennington has 4pm Mass every Saturday from opening of fishing until Labor Day.
